How It Started

THE ORIGINAL COFFEE CART OF KC.

Phase 2 Coffee Co. was born from a simple idea — bring specialty coffee directly to the people, without the overhead of a brick-and-mortar shop. While most coffee carts in Kansas City emerged as extensions of existing coffee shops, Phase 2 launched as a dedicated mobile operation from day one.

What started as one cart quickly grew into Kansas City's largest mobile coffee operation — three fully equipped carts, a dedicated event director, and a trained barista team serving 500+ events across the KC metro.

We've served Fortune 500 companies, world-touring artists, professional sports teams, and intimate weddings across Kansas City. The mission has always been the same: show up professionally, make exceptional coffee, and make your event better than it would have been without us.

Christian built Phase 2 Coffee Co. from the ground up in Kansas City over the last 5+ years — no outside funding, no shortcuts. Just a belief that the Midwest deserves next-level hospitality and that events here should feel as premium as anywhere in the country.

That belief became Phase 2's foundation. Starting with a single cart, Christian grew KC's first dedicated mobile coffee operation into a full three-cart team — driven by a passion for pushing what's possible at events and an obsession with elevating every experience from ordinary to something guests actually remember.

His approach has always been business-first: build systems, hire great people, and create an operation that corporate clients and couples can trust completely. The result is a Kansas City mobile barista service that has served Fortune 500 companies, world-touring artists, and hundreds of KC weddings without ever compromising on quality or professionalism.
